The Curve almost finished its been hell here in New Zealand since very early this morning with the first of countless Earthquakes and they aren't over yet. I have been trying to keep busy so you don't spend to much time thinking about them and this is how the Curve is starting to look finished. It can be hung three ways flat against the wall. Curved against the wall or as three separate panels, so as you can see its The Curve in more ways than one.
Self taught acrylic on canvas artist who has recently branched out into Photography. In the last year I have achieved 6 awards entering my art in overseas competitions competing with approx 1000 at a time. I have a long way to go but I am determined to go on trying

The Curve
So in the last week I have started the next in the Wave series. I have this constant desire to paint water and I have realised after a old post came up this morning that this is a theme and has been since I started painting on canvas. The Curve is three canvas that hopefully will be able to be hung either together or apart. This is the first two together in mapping in stage. I have decided to vary the colour theme in the wave series. Also heading for the exhibition.

Explosive
Explosive is closing in on the finishing line. It has been one of the hardest paintings I have had the pleasure of working on. The reason is, that the wave is actually going in three different directions. Toward, back and side ways. It has pushed me harder than I ever thought possible. Nothing like pushing yourself though. This is heading for an exhibition with a lot more of my art and a new one that will hopefully add to the Wave collection.

Explosive
Here is an update of the latest wave I have been working on. It has been very slow going with late nights and early mornings working on this one. The details are a little like painting a portrait, if the details aren't right the wave doesn't flow the way is should. I hope you are enjoying the process

This is another I have been working on recently. I have slowly worked out what works for me and what doesn't. I have stopped doing simple quick paintings and turned my life around to create paintings that can take months to complete.
I have found that I am happier creating one of original unusual pieces. There will never be any prints or copies of these art works. I should also mention I live in New Zealand and most if not all of my art depicts the wild life and landscapes of our beautiful country.

The Wave
This is the finished painting of The Wave. It has taken a little over 5 weeks to complete. But has been good for me and my soul I hope you enjoy what I have created. I have had a lot of fun painting this one. All my art work is one of a kind. I don't do prints and they are all protected by the Copyright Laws of New Zealand.

So it has been some time since I have posted a blog. I have had a couple years away from the art and finally found my feet again and started heading in a new direction. The art I am working on now is very labour intensive and time consuming. There will be a lot less of it and there will still be no prints all the art work is under my copyright law and all rights remain mine under Lynn Campbell Art by Wolfeyes. I have an open page on Facebook were you can now follow along as I progress through one painting. This is what I am working on at the moment It is a long way from finished but I am enjoying the process of making the water move. The wave measures 1.15 metres x 51 cm deep I hope you will follow along and watch as I hopefully finish this in the next month or so.
