Artist Meets Photo Editing

I worked on a series of basic images and have learned to edit and enhance. I learned from there the other advantages to having a huge collection of basic images that could be used to edit and adapt and overlay to other images. Its all about trail and a heap of error too. This is just some of what I have done in the last few months. As always all these images are subject to my copyright laws in New Zealand. In other words no downloads unless you have got my permission via email. I hope you like what I have created. It was a load of fun trying out new ideas.

Nature in the Backyard

People often miss what is right in front of you every day. The simple things like the flower blooming or the fern unfolding. There is so much more to life than work and the technology that man hales as being the be all and end all. Mother Nature creates beauty every day yet people fail to see it. Or they dismiss it as a common event. Nothing in life exists with out Mother Nature not even you or I would exist with out her input. This is a selection of my latest back yard adventures I do hope you like them

Sea Magic

I love the ocean it brings so much peace to the soul even looking at it. For many years I have had to have it close and if possible within eyesight at all times.

Its like a fixation with it but its more than that.I grew up in the middle of the country with mountains around us but the land was dead flat for miles and miles in any direction you cared to look.

Ever since I have tried hard to avoid flat land where possible. Being a bit of a nomad would be true. I move when the need requires it. But being blessed to live in a country surrounded totally by the ocean makes it possible to find places the you can either see the ocean or at least hear it.

This is a small selection of my ocean photos. I am learning and also have become quite critical with the images. The learning is teaching me that I need to select times and sunlight balance to bring out the depth of the images.

These images were taken in the Northland out at Whangarei Heads Ocean beach or looking out towards that area.
