I don't think I have had so much fun playing with the camera and learning in the last couple of weeks. It helps that most days I walk the puppy so the camera and the dog and I walk where ever we can for as long as the dog is not tired. He is five months old and yes he features in a couple of the photos also.

I am learning to play with the editing side of Windows and its a very basic program but I figured its better to start from the ground up and work my way into more details artistic photography.

I have been having great fun with the lily as the color contrast is amazing vibrant and simply startling when combined with basic colors. They make wonderful paintings but I have had great fun this morning with photos and editing instead I do hope you like what I have achieved.

Artistic Expression of my Photos

I have been learning to take photos with a Canon EOS its not mine and I only have one lens a telephoto one but it allows me to take different images and then play with them in basic editing on Windows. Kind of Interesting as there are only four things you can fine tune one it Exposure, Detail, Color and Straightening so I have been learning the hard way how to play with the photos to suit my artistic Taste. I love Vibrant I love contrast and I also love simple. This first page is Basic editing. The next upload will be the ones I played more with.

 My Latest fun thing to do Photography

I have been learning how to use a camera lately my younger years I still remember doing photography at school as part of the art curriculum. Not my finest hour I failed art because I could not Paint and I wanted every image I took and every thing I drew to be black and white. I still love these things to find the definitive lines between black white and grey was great. Learning to paint in black and white was a huge learning curve venturing out of my comfort zone and learning the difference between a black grey a brown grey and a white grey was a true eye opener. So in between playing with the paint brush I started to learn to use the camera and editing photos and seeing things in nature that may or may not be painted later also became something to do while waiting on paint to dry. os this is some of the photos I have taken recently. They are all taken in or around where I live. I am very lucky to live on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by native bush in New Zealand. Blessed yes still learning always. I do hope you like these, yes there are more I will post them also
